Getting started

Your first session.

1. Download the Sorrowfall launcher from the link the owner gives you. Keep the launcher and its configuration file in the same folder.
2. Run the launcher, choose Install, select a folder with enough free space, and let it verify the game files. Use Repair if verification reports damaged files.
3. After installation, start Sorrowfall from its shortcut or reopen the launcher. Updates and file checks run from the launcher.
4. Choose PLAY. If Windows shows a permission prompt for the game, accept it only if you started Sorrowfall. The launcher should not need administrator rights.
5. Ask the owner for your account name and password. The owner creates accounts unless the owner says otherwise.
6. Read the privacy and data notice and the beta rules before you play.

What the friends beta is.

• This is a friends beta. Features, balance and availability may change. Character data is not guaranteed to carry over until the owner says so.
• Ruleset: L2J Mobius Classic 2.9, Secret of Empire.
• Rates: XP and SP 1x; party XP and SP 1x; quest XP 1.5x; general item drop and spoil 1.2x.
• Limits: maximum level 86; party size 9; up to 3 clans in an alliance.
• Connections: up to 2 game clients per public IP address in total.
• Buff selling is enabled. Offline shops and crafting are enabled in peace zones and without damage.
• Auto-loot is off for normal items, herbs and raid drops. Newbie free teleport is available up to level 40.

These are configured settings, not a promise of every in-game behavior. Report any difference to the owner. Full details are on the server info page.
