SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Ready your PC.

  • A Windows PC and a working internet connection.
  • At least 24 GB of free disk space for the game files.
  • Use a standard Windows account; the launcher itself does not need administrator access.

Detailed CPU, graphics, and memory requirements are not published yet. Ask the owner if you are unsure whether your PC is supported.

INSTALL AND PLAY

Follow these steps.

  1. Download the Sorrowfall launcher.
  2. Put the launcher.config.json file the owner sent you in the same folder as the launcher.
  3. Run the launcher. It installs the game, downloads updates, and verifies the game files.
  4. Choose your install folder and select Install. Wait for the file check and download to finish.
  5. Select PLAY. If Windows shows the game's own permission prompt, review it and allow the game to continue.
  6. Create an account in-game if that option is available, or ask the owner to create one for you.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Quick answers.

My antivirus warns about a game file. What should I do?

Do not turn off your antivirus. Check with the owner that you have the current launcher and ask them to verify the flagged file before allowing it.

Why did Windows show a permission prompt?

The launcher does not need administrator rights. Windows may show its own prompt when the game starts; review the prompt and ask the owner if you are unsure.

How much free disk space do I need?

Keep at least 24 GB free for the game download and installation.

Should I allow the game through Windows Firewall?

If Windows asks while the game starts, follow the owner's instructions. If you are unsure which network option to allow, ask the owner.

I cannot log in. What should I check?

Check the account name and password the owner gave you, then ask the owner to check the server and account status. Avoid repeated guesses.

Where are the game logs?

The protection log is named D3D9_Guard.log in the game's system folder. Ask the owner where to find any other log.

How do I contact the owner?

Reply in the same invite or message channel where you received the launcher.

PRIVACY

Know what the client shares.

L2ProtectiON game protection sends your IP address, MAC address, disk serial number, and CPU name to its servers in Russia. The launcher collects no other data. The owner keeps only the game account name and IP address in server logs needed to operate the game.

The launcher configures the game server address for you. Do not edit game network settings; contact the owner if the launcher cannot connect.
